Fake Blood Tutorial by loadsatequila Fake Blood Tutorial by loadsatequila
Ok i spent ages trying to work out a good make at home recipe to make fake blood for photography, nothing seemed to work. Today i nailed it, feel free to use as you wish

One thing to note is that the mix will coagulate. if you leave it sitting it will thicken up and will even look like real drying blood

Example of blood in use [link]

**Update, instant coffee granules work as well as soy sauce**

To help assist with Stock and Resources week, I bring you a wonderful and comprehensive (and somewhat unique) fake blood recipe. If you've ever wondered just how those macabre folk make their blood, well, here is an option they may have used! Easy, edible (if you simply must!) and creative, it looks to produce some seriously sinister effects. Enjoy!

hey, amazing!
I want to ask, if i make the blood, can it be reserved for using it days later? or maybe a couple of weeks?
Because i want to use it for a project, but i am not sure abut the exact day i will find the chance to, so i think it would be nice to have some ready.

I think that perhaps some yellow coloring should also be added, since human blood doesn't look as pink as this, it's a bit orange-y. (although frog blood IS that color :P)

Hmm...I know blood, I work with blood constantly, and I have to say the drops on the fabric and the contents of the syringe are very convincing. The color and consistency are dead-on. Something about the contents of the wineglass bothers me a little - it doesn't really look like dried blood on glass.

There's lots of other tutorials that have washable recipes!
I've got one in my gallery too, and I can say that it's washed out of EVERYTHING I've put it on, except my carpet - but you aren't wearing your carpet to cosplay, I imagine :P
